Is anyone else looking forward to a nice, low-key weekend with no events, parties, or Christmas decorations to be taken down? It is supposed to be frigid and cold here (we are talking a high of zero degrees people...), so even though it is only the first week of January, I am already dreaming of all things spring!
Brightening up this dreary month with pink on pink on pink. No shame in my game!
When the weather allows for little time outside, what better way to spend a winter weekend than snuggled up on the couch with a hot coffee and some online shopping!
The Toms Leila booties have me drooling. I saw them online, and cannot stop thinking about them. I am cheap, though, and keep trying to justify to myself spending $100 on a pair of shoes. Do any of you ladies have these or another style of the Leila booties? I would love to hear what others think!
For Christmas, I received the multi-color Kate Spade glitter studs. Those babies are now sold out everywhere, and with good reason. They are fabulous. My sister has been on the hunt ever since seeing mine and cannot track down a pair, but she stumbled across the Kate Spade glitter opal studs in the mall this past weekend, and they are just as gorgeous. I found them still available at Zappos with free shipping and returns! And, I am stalking Nordstrom's website to see if they restock, because I am kicking myself for not asking for more colors for Christmas. That is just how fabulous they are!
I have been on the hunt for a good chambray button up for awhile. Even during pregnancy, I think they look adorable left open over a t-shirt with black leggings! One of my biggest issues, though, is that at 6 feet tall, many button up shirts tend to run short on me, and when it is a layering piece, that is the last thing you want! Enter my best friend Old Navy, who carries a huge portion of their items online in tall. I stumbled upon this shirt there over the week, and using sales and promo codes scooped it up for $15! I cannot wait to get it and start styling it, and finally have a chambray shirt that is long enough!
Another tall girl problem is finding nice, long tank tops. I found these BP tank tops
at Nordstrom during their sale last week, and scooped them up for $7 a piece, and they are still listed at that price! Even at full price though, they are only $12, which is comparable to prices at Target for items of much lower quality, in my opinoin. These are long, hold their shape, and definitely high quality, without the high price. They are also a double scoop neck, making them perfect for layering!

Now that we are beyond the holidays, I am all about fresh, neutral nail polishes. Minnesota winters are so drab that a bright, light nail polish can be the perfect mood boster! This lucky lucky lavender polish by OPI fits the bill. OPI polishes are my favorite, they stay on for the long haul, dry relatively quickly, and are just a great product. Go grab this color, it will have you dreaming of lilac blooms and spring pastels!
Wishing everyone a happy Friday and a fabulous (and warm) weekend!

ReplyDeleteI think I have that OPI color! You're right, it's sooo gorgeous! As are your Kate Spade studs!! Oh, while I feel like Target stuff doesn't come in talls (I'm average to petite so I've never had to look for talls!), I just got a super-soft chambray shirt from them that I loooove. And I had struggled to find one that I liked, so I feel you on that. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou should go for those booties! I received the black leather pair for Christmas and I am actually wearing them now. They are super comfortable and super cute!
ReplyDeleteLove that nail color! I also love the Kate Spade studs! I have a few of them. One of the reasons that I love shopping at Old Navy is because they carry tall online. Tall girls unite :)
ReplyDeleteI love those tank tops too! I totally agree about the nails, I was excited to wear some fresh new colors after the holidays! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe those booties are TOMS! So stinking cute! Off to check out those tank tops - I'm in desperate need of some new ones. Hope you're staying warm!
