Bumpdate: 18 Weeks

Just keeping it real this week. Took a nice picture only to realize I didn't change the chalkboard, sooo pre bed, post shower, no makeup is where it's at! This is what I look like 90% of the time anyway, sooo..yogas for the win..
Top // Gap

How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain: 4 pounds. Pretty comparable to where I was with Jackson, but feels more consistent this time, whereas with Jackson I pretty much went from zero to 10 pounds in a month!
Maternity clothes? Rocked my maternity leggings this week! They are just comfier, even when you aren't pregnant. And started wearing some of my Gap basic maternity shirts, again not out of need, but mostly just because I love them.
Stretch marks? No
Belly button in or out: In
Exercise: My coworker and I walked to the building next door for Christmas desserts this week, so that counts right??? Honestly, I try to get to the gym 1-2 times per week, it is just hard when you want to rush home to your little one and it's too cold to go for walks outside anymore!
Best moment this week: No homework, no class, no tuition payments. And my little man was a perfect angle when I gave him a haircut and he looks so so handsome now!
Miss Anything? Wearing pants comfortably. Still not close to fitting in maternity clothes, but not loving wearing my normal clothes.
Movement: Definitely more and more happening, most often when I am lying down in bed watching the OC. Baby already has good taste in TV shows!

Food cravings/aversions: Still turned off by black coffee. Tacos didn't sound very good this week, either. My only real craving this week has been any and all kinds of pasta. I am thinking an italian dinner out would be perfect right about now!
Symptoms: At 17.5 weeks, I had to run out of my office mid conversation because I became sick out of nowhere. This baby likes to joke, I guess. Still not sure if I had a touch of a stomach bug or if it was pregnancy related, but the nausea has been for real this week. Otherwise, generally starting to feel like a whale.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still coffee, what the heck! I thought we were over this hump, but apparently not.
Labor Signs: No
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time:
Looking forward to: Christmas! I will only be in the office the first two days of next week, and I'm not sad about it. Ready to enjoy some family time and Christmas spirit! Tomorrow we have Christmas with Mike's extended family, and Jackson will see Santa for the first time! It will likely be a disaster but I am still excited to see how he reacts!

  2. Congrats! I am a few weeks behind you with #2; it's fun to read along with other mama's going through the same thing. I can totally relate on tacos sounding TERRIBLE, but bring me ALL the pasta!

    1. Congrats to you, too! It is so fun to find others going through all of the same things :-) and no joke, I think pasta should just be a part of every pregnancy meal ;-)
