Weekending: Some Spring Weather

This was a slow weekend over in our neck of the woods. Sometimes I wish things would pick up a bit, but then I stop for a moment and realize that in 2 or so weeks once we begin our construction, and a few weeks after that once we have a baby, I will probably be desperate for some downtime so I am going to soak it up while I can!

Also ladies, don't forget, tomorrow Jenn and I will be hosting our first Talk About It Tuesday linkup! Join us and share anything that is going on with you lately, whether it be a recipe, project, bumpdate, or any other topic that strikes your fancy! Check back here tomorrow and hop in on the fun!

I apologize in advance that there are essentially no pictures from this weekend to share. For one my phone keeps telling me I am pretty much out of memory which requires me to constantly delete stuff trying to make room..and partly I am very pregnant and not particularly keen on taking pictures if I don't have to!

Friday, I did some work from home, and treated myself to a prenatal massage. Can I just say, that I am a bit of a 'massage' snob..I am very particular about my massages. Unfortunately, my massage Friday was average at best. That's not to say it was a bad massage..but when you tell the therapist don't even bother with my arms or legs, and use as much pressure as it takes to work things out (I am ALL about the deep tissue), and she does long relaxing strokes and then proceeds to spend a solid 15 minutes on your arms..*insert eye roll emoji here* It was super relaxing and I won't say I hated it, but when I get a massage, it is because I want all of the knots and kinks worked out. I know some people don't want that at all and just want to basically be put to sleep, but when you specifically ask them to do/not do something, and then they do exactly the opposite. UGH. #firstworldproblems #spoiled But hey, massages aint cheap, and I want those knots gone!
Friday night, we took out my sister in law for dinner to celebrate her getting into her nursing program! She has been working to get in for a few years, so we are all super excited for her and can't wait for her to get going on this next chapter of her life.

Saturday, we hung around home in the morning, and I accomplished piles of laundry. The whole rest of the weekend felt like a huge breather knowing there weren't baskets of clothes waiting to be folded :-) I also ran to Target to get the final items to pack for my hospital bag, including Tucks, nursing bras, and snacks for us (and in my experience last time, our little visitors who tend to steal most of your snacks). I have my bags all packed and feel a HUGE weight off my shoulders knowing when the time comes, I will just be able to grab them and go!

Sunday was another lazy day. After a few days of cold (Saturday barely got above 30 degrees!) Sunday hung out in the low 50's and it was such a welcome change from the past week. We went on a nice long walk after lunch, and then played outside Sunday afternoon.

The rest of Sunday was spent eating this ridiculously easy and my all time favorite cold pasta salad.
We playing with our little guy, and watching the Walking Dead finale! It is going to be a longggg wait until October; our next new episode will be in the new house and with a nearly six month old new baby! Life is crazy, but good :-)

Linking up with Meg and Biana today!

  1. I'm the same way about massages and so I have one girl that I go to because I know she's the best--and luckily she's at my salon! Maybe you'll find another girl who's way better! And that's so exciting to think that the next time you watch TWD, it'll be in your new house....and with your new baby!

    1. Glad I am not the only picky one! Once you find a good therapist, you hold onto them for sure!

  2. I could totally go for a massage. I don't think you're a massage snob, they ask you what you want for a reason! Why would the ignore that? Especially when a pregnant woman asks? Annoying. I'm excited to link up tomorrow. I think I have the perfect post.
